Job Title: Facilities Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Facilities Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the facilities team, overseeing WHS compliance, and managing external facility contractors.

The Facilities Manager will play a key role in ensuring the College's physical environment supports its mission and vision by providing high-quality spaces and services for staff and students that are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the facilities team to ensure the College's physical environment is safe, functional, and well-maintained.
  • Oversee WHS compliance across the College.
  • Manage external facility contractors to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement budget plans to ensure the College's assets are maintained and developed.
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing diverse operational teams.
  • Working knowledge of WHS legislation and practical application.
  • Budget development and financial management capability.
  • Previous experience in trade-based industries.
Personal Qualities:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to enable effective communication with a range of stakeholders including staff, parents, students, and contractors.
  • Ability to manage relationships with teams and other departments to achieve work area goals.
  • Hand-on approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • WHSO qualifications (or willingness to gain qualifications).
  • Relevant qualifications in Facilities Management, Project Management, Asset Management, or a related field.
  • Applicants must hold a current Working with Children – Blue Card.
  • Valid Bus Driver's Licence.
