The Opportunity:

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding the design direction of our PM Dresses portfolio. You will partner with our Design Manager to create captivating collections that reflect our brand's unique aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Stay up-to-date on local and international market trends, lifestyle, and emerging trends to ensure we remain at the forefront of innovation.
  2. Develop strategic design briefs, trend storyboards, and colour palettes, actively participating in design meetings and workshops.
  3. Provide creative leadership by identifying opportunities, advising on styling and finishes, and challenging product direction where required.
  4. Collaborate with our Design Manager to define aesthetic direction, incorporating colour, fabric innovations, and business insights.
  5. Partner with Buyers, Textile Print Designers, and Quality teams to brief, refine, and deliver commercially successful products.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in Womenswear Design
  • Proficient in visualising design concepts (by hand and computer)
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics and raw materials
  • Ability to translate fashion trends into commercial design concepts
  • Creative talent and high attention to detail
  • Solid technical knowledge and garment construction skills
  • Understanding of critical path elements and their impact on sales
  • Computer literacy in Design, Illustrator, CAD, and PowerPoint
  • Audacious thinking and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to respond effectively to customer needs
