Technical Field Specialist
This position is pivotal in delivering high-quality technical support and service excellence across various customer sites. Collaborating closely with the Service Manager and the wider Field Services team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support including the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic gaming equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled tasks, preventative maintenance (PM), break/fix repairs, and system diagnostics on-site.
- Install, remove, upgrade, modify, and change games on gaming equipment at customer sites.
- Investigate and resolve complex system faults and perform repair work as required.
- Respond to service calls promptly and authoritatively to meet customer expectations and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate efficiently with venue staff and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Accurately collect and report all activities using field service management tools.
- Ensure real-time data entry and 100% accuracy of service records, tasks, and inventory.
- Record all part usage and ensure returns are completed as per compliance standards.
- Assist with internal service reporting and respond to departmental requests when required.
- Understand and align with company and venue workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ensure accident/incident/near miss processes are followed and investigations are conducted as required.
- Ensure all activities meet company, regulatory, and legislative compliance requirements.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to acquire and maintain relevant state/territory gaming licenses (support provided).
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and fault-finding capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service attitude.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently across multiple customer sites.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to handle time, tasks, and service schedules.
- Proficient in using mobile devices and field service applications for reporting.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as needed.
- Experience in a technical field service role, gaming industry, or electronics/mechanical repair.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, maintenance scheduling, or service coordination.
- Previous exposure to workplace health and safety systems, compliance environments, or regulated industries.
- Able to lift/move up to 25kg safely using accurate manual handling techniques and tools.
- Able to comfortably step up onto a safety step and work in variable physical environments.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and during the workday.
- Able to bend, squat, and work at ground level if required.
- Able to move arms above head and work at shoulder height if required.
