Job Opportunity: Operational Capability Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operational Capability Coordinator to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development of operational capability within rural fire service districts.

  • Coordinate equipment management, ensuring timely servicing, testing, and maintenance.
  • Engage with brigades to deliver education on equipment-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate inventory lists for effective equipment management.
  • Liaise with external agencies for emergency preparedness and response support.
  • Provide advice on training materials, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Lead activities related to equipment purchasing and user evaluation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • To meet the mandatory requirements and attributes outlined in the generic RFSO2 role description.
  • Knowledge of or experience working with volunteers and/or within a volunteer organisation is highly desirable.
