Financial Professional for Sports Industry


Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled financial professional to join our dynamic sports organization. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and driving business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly cash flow forecasts and balance sheets
  • Managing payroll processes, including reconciliations and statutory obligations
  • Driving the month-end process - balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, fixed assets
  • Supporting quarterly and annual reporting requirements to governing bodies
  • Providing financial guidance to stakeholders across the business, ensuring best practice processes and controls
  • Assisting with audits, statutory accounts and ad-hoc finance projects that add real value

Requirements:

  • Accounting degree and professional qualification (CA/CPA - completed or in progress)
  • 3-4 years' experience in a similar role within a dynamic, fast-paced environment or public practice
  • Solid Excel and accounting system skills (Dynamics 365 and CRM experience desirable)
  • A problem-solver with a proactive, collaborative and organised approach
  • Someone who takes ownership, meets deadlines and enjoys helping others succeed
