Support Worker Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our team in the Shepparton region. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young people.

This role is focused on providing therapeutic support and care to young people in residential settings. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care and support, implementing current best practice therapeutic interventions and program guidelines.

About the Role:
  • Provide individualised support to young people, fostering independence and encouraging participation in educational, social, and recreational pursuits.
  • Work effectively with young people who have experienced trauma, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.

In this role, you will possess a strong sense of self, resilience, and the ability to understand trauma and its effects on young people. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Certification in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification.
  • A valid driver's license for transporting young people.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • A non-judgmental approach to life and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.
