We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Team Member to join our Infrastructure Maintenance team, who will play an integral role in maintaining Council's reactive and routine road and associated infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Loading and unloading of machinery, plant and equipment.
  2. Ensuring work complies with Council's Road Management Plan and other infrastructure maintenance service levels.
  3. Contributing to the prioritisation of work with the Team Leader.
  4. Assisting members of the public with enquiries relating to maintenance operations.
  5. Performing pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance of plant and equipment.
  6. Completing allocated work to an appropriate standard and procedure.
  7. Contributing to the Logistics & Procurement team by adopting safety procedures.
  8. Responding to after-hours maintenance response service.
  9. Resolving routine problems pertaining to the immediate job.

About the Role

This is an ongoing full-time position that offers a base salary of $65,499 plus maintenance allowance and 11.5% superannuation. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, with fortnightly Rostered Days Off.

Requirements

  1. Experience hauling light and heavy earthmoving machinery and plant.
  2. Civil related plant and equipment qualification and/or competencies.
  3. Sound knowledge of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulations (NHVR) and Chain of Responsibility (COR) Regulations.
  4. Reliable, have a great attitude and good attention to detail.
  5. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and professional work ethic.
  6. Ability to work to KPIs and targets.
  7. Ability to work from both Foster and Leongatha depots.
  8. Physically capable to carry out manual labouring tasks.
  9. Ability to understand and follow OH&S policies and procedures.
  10. Ability to use mobile devices such as smart phones and laptops.
  11. Current Drivers Licence and Heavy Combination license (or willing to obtain).
