Senior Nursing Leadership Opportunity

The role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager is a senior leadership position that provides an opportunity to enhance leadership skills and experience.

As part of the nursing team, you will oversee the management of nursing staff, provide clinical expertise, and work closely with medical and allied health professionals to ensure exceptional patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in overseeing the nursing team.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and clinical expertise to nursing staff.
  • Collaborating with medical, allied, and ancillary staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Acting as a representative of the Nurse Unit Manager outside of business hours.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a registered nurse.
  • A minimum of three years recent clinical experience in surgical and/or medical nursing.
  • Experience in team leadership and care coordination.
  • Well-developed high-acuity nursing skills with a good understanding of and commitment to providing patient-centred care.
  • Well-developed decision-making skills with the capacity to determine the best course of action in a timely manner.
