About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our IT team at Aspen Technology. As a key member of our global IT organization, you will play a critical role in delivering complex solutions to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Support: Provide day-to-day support and advancement of our global computing infrastructure, including identity and access management, compute, storage, DNS, DHCP, Active directory, and Azure AD.
  • Server Administration: Administer IT systems like SCCM, Intune, Print, DC's, SFTP; patching, backups; maintenance, and repair.
  • Script Administration: Develop and maintain shell, batch, and other scripts that are used in IT business processes.
  • O365 Administration: Administer applications, services, data, devices, usage data analysis, report creation within the Microsoft O365 environment.
  • Documentation: Document deployed environments, including topology diagrams, SOPs, and technical communications.
  • Change Management: Ensure that standardized methods, processes, and procedures are used for all changes, and maintain the proper balance between the need for a change and the detrimental impact of a change.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering fields.
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering fields.
  • Microsoft Certifications like MCP and MCT will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Linux knowledge a plus.
  • Experience with networking fundamentals like routing, switching, VPN, SD-WAN, Load Balancing.
  • Experience with security fundamentals like least privilege, IDS/IPS, EDR, SIEM, Trusted Endpoints.
  • In-depth practical knowledge managing Enterprise Environments with divergent technologies and development teams.
  • Communication skills – both oral and written are crucial to this role.
  • Ability to work closely with members of the Systems and Collaboration team, end users, and stakeholders.
  • Occasional ability to travel is preferred.
