This is a fixed-term, full-time research position in the Tectonics and Earth Systems Group at the University of Adelaide. We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to investigate Proterozoic sedimentology and geochemistry.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct field-based sedimentary geology and geochemistry analyses, collecting elemental data and interpreting it in terms of sedimentary processes.
- Apply isotopic geochemistry to understand the evolution of Proterozoic Earth systems.
- Collaborate with a diverse research team, contributing to publications and advancing the field of sedimentology and geochemistry.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in earth sciences, with experience in field-based work and data interpretation related to redox, salinity, weathering, or productivity. Isotopic geochemistry experience and biogeochemical modelling interest are desirable.
Required Qualifications- PhD in earth sciences or an equivalent discipline.
- Demonstrated research ability in sedimentology and geochemistry, with a strong publication record.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a research team.
