Job Title

A Business Development Manager will be the vital link between our clients and the resources they need to succeed. This role involves working closely with culturally diverse clients guiding them from concept to successful business launch.

About the Role
  • Build trust-based relationships with refugee and asylum seeker entrepreneurs.
  • Deliver one-on-one mentoring and group workshops to build business readiness.
  • Support clients to develop business plans, budgets, cash flow forecasts and marketing strategies.
  • Guide clients through business registration, compliance and launch.
  • Assess financing needs and prepare high-quality loan applications.
  • Conduct scheduled business reviews and provide tailored support to address challenges.
Your Skills and Qualifications
  • A passion for refugee empowerment and social impact.
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills with cultural sensitivity and empathy.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to analyse business and financial plans.
  • Energetic, takes initiative and resilience in challenging situations.

Tertiary qualification in business, commerce or finance is preferred but not essential. Experience working with culturally diverse communities is highly regarded.

We are based in Brisbane, Australia and require full working rights. A current driver's license and access to transport are also required.
