About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in various data engineering activities under senior team members' guidance.
  • Attend requirements gathering and other meetings to achieve objectives.
  • Develop, deploy, test, and monitor data engineering solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Read and write technical documentation, articles, and diagrams using industry-standard notation.
Requirements

The ideal candidate is a recent graduate (within last 12 months or graduating by end of year) with a degree in computer science, data engineering, or related field and a strong academic record. No prior IT-related work experience or corporate office setting experience is necessary.

  • Ambitious, eager to start a career in IT as a Data Engineer working on modern data platforms.
  • Excellent team player with clear communication skills and internal drive for engineering excellence.
  • Broad understanding of data profiling, cleansing, transformation methods, Kimball dimensional data model, ETL/ELT design patterns, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Good note taking skills and ability to follow up.
  • Demonstrated good time management skills and punctual attendance to meetings and work.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and apply knowledge to troubleshoot and build solutions.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and lateral thinking with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud services.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL solutions.
