Linux Enablement Leadership Role

The Linux Enablement Leader will spearhead a team of software engineers to deliver OEM enablement projects. This is a fast-paced environment requiring exceptional time management and profound knowledge of the Linux system.

As a leader, you will recruit, motivate, mentor, and empower your team to excel in delivering high-quality products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing goals with the team; prioritizing tasks, identifying, and measuring team health indicators.
  • Mаксимising the results of team members and supporting their career growth.
  • Collaborating with project managers, HWE, QA, and certification management.
  • Monitoring projects from inception to post-mortem and handling escalations.
  • Communicating, understanding, and resolving technical challenges with OEMs, ODMs, SiPs, IHVs.
  • Prioritizing customer requests globally.
  • Partnering with product engineering teams (including Desktop, Foundations, Kernel, and Security).
  • Providing leadership for methodologies, strategies, standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Traveling to the EU, USA, China, and Taiwan.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in STEM, preferably computer science or software engineering.
  • A proven track record in technical roles with Linux, preferably Ubuntu or Debian.
  • A commitment to development and testing methodologies, and maintainable code quality.
  • Experience with management responsibilities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • The ability to be productive in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation.
  • A commitment and energy to deliver on schedule.
  • Strong English and Chinese language communication skills, both written and verbal.
