Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Developer to join our Marketing, Media & Acquisition team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for motivating a team of developers to create web-accessible, browser-compatible code for the Budget Direct website. You will collaborate with the Lead Developer, Product, and SEO teams to execute campaigns and enhance digital customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Support the Lead Developer in guiding the team and creating web-based solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work with product owners and developers on new features, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines.
  • User Experience: Advocate for the best user experience, ensuring that our digital solutions meet the highest standards of quality and usability.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Code Review: Conduct code reviews and quality checks, ensuring that our codebase meets the highest standards of quality and maintainability.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop reusable, maintainable code and improve the stack, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure high code quality standards, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
  • Team Dynamics: Maintain a positive attitude and encourage peers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest new processes, tools, or ideas for productivity, continuously improving our workflows and processes.
  • Content Management: Maintain and improve content assets, ensuring that our digital solutions are engaging and effective.
  • Technical Enhancements: Implement code changes to enhance speed and SEO, staying ahead of the curve in terms of technical innovation.
  • Compliance: Ensure team compliance with policies and standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Team Motivation: Motivate and encourage team positivity, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Industry experience in web development, with a strong understanding of complex systems and best practices.
  • Process Review: Experience reviewing processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Frontend Development: SME in front-end development, with advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with SEO, Git, BitBucket, and Java (preferred), with a strong understanding of business and marketing principles.
  • Agile Environment: Experience in an Agile team environment, with strong problem-solving skills and independence.
  • Communication: Prioritize and communicate project status effectively, with good understanding of business and marketing principles.
