About the Role

DroneShield is seeking a seasoned QA automation expert to join their Sydney-based team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software quality assurance, with a strong background in testing and validation of complex systems. They will be responsible for creating and implementing robust QA strategies, working closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration and high-quality deliverables.

The role involves designing and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks, leveraging tools like GTest, PyTest, and Selenium. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing test plans, executing system tests, and refining test coverage metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with software engineers to identify risks early and develop effective testability hooks.
  • Design and implement automated pipelines using modern CI/CD toolchains like GitLab.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans that verify functional and non-functional performance requirements.
  • Analyze results, provide sign-off for release builds, and refine test coverage metrics.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, C++, Go, or JavaScript programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Docker containerization and Linux environments.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence.
