The role of a financial administrator is pivotal within any organization. This position entails overseeing all financial accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivable, tax, general financial reports, and relations with financial institutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading various financial accounting activities of the company, including proposed changes and implementation.
- Ensuring tax compliance by managing monthly GST reporting and BAS Return, annual FBT Return, and annual Income Tax Return.
- Managing the daily bank reconciliation process and weekly cash management.
- Preparing and reviewing revenue recognition over time in line with IFRS15.
- Ensuring timely payment to suppliers and effective collection from customers.
- Preparing the financial year-end financial statements.
- Managing external audits on the company's financial records and statements.
- Assisting with labour rates submissions to relevant authorities for review and approval.
- Updating the Finance Risk Register on a monthly basis.
- Managing the opening and closing of accounting periods in SAP.
For this role, we are seeking an individual with:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
- Membership or ability to become a member of one of the following professional bodies: Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant AUS & NZ (CA).
- Experience as a financial administrator highly regarded.
- Advanced level experience in Excel.
- Hands-on experience with SAP software.
- Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in high-pressure environments.
