Payroll Operations Specialist

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team at Regis Aged Care. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient payroll operations, ensuring services are performed on a timely basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of Regis facilities, collecting, calculating, and entering data to maintain and update payroll information.
- Interpret various EBA's, awards, and entitlements to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Assist senior payroll team members with reconciliation and month-end procedures, and payroll reporting to meet statutory obligations.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and queries, escalating complex issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of annual statutory returns, such as PAYG Payment Statements, Payroll Tax, and Workers Compensation Remuneration returns.
What You'll Bring
- Prior experience working in a large payroll function and team will be beneficial.
- Experience interpreting multiple complex awards/agreements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with Chris21 and Human Force systems, preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft suite skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
