
Asset Inspection Specialist

The Asset Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of public assets to identify maintenance needs and inform future works programs.
">">This involves inspecting road-related assets according to a predetermined schedule, undertaking reactive inspections in response to customer requests, and establishing work priorities for maintenance as identified through inspection programs and maintenance request investigations.
">">Additionally, the Asset Inspector will ensure necessary inspections are completed by required timeframes, respond to customer complaints with follow-up inspections prior to and after action is taken by operational staff, and maintain accurate records of customer inquiries and actions taken.
">">Key responsibilities include:
">">- Inspecting road-related assets according to the inspection schedule and taking actions as required">">
- Undertaking reactive inspections of road-related assets after requests from the public and residents">">
- Establishing work priorities for maintenance as identified in the inspection program and through maintenance request investigations">">
- Ensuring necessary inspections to inform future works programs are completed by the required timeframes as directed by the Operations Coordinator">">
- Responding to customer complaints with follow-up inspections prior to and after action is taken by operational staff">">
Required skills and qualifications include:
">">Assets inspectors should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and have a high level of attention to detail. A strong understanding of asset management principles and practices is also essential.
