Job Overview

We are seeking a Reconciliation Action Plan Officer to join our team at NSW Treasury.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the department's Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and help achieve its strategic goals through sustainable actions, strong partnerships, and greater cultural understanding.

Your Day-to-Day Work
  • Driving the implementation of the department's RAP to achieve its strategic goals
  • Building strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribution to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts
The Ideal Candidate
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and respect for First Nations cultures, histories and perspectives
  • Experience supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives in the workplace
  • Strong self-management capability and initiative
  • Ability to manage straightforward projects or tasks with limited supervision
About the Role

You will be joining our small Reconciliation Branch and will be working within the Office of the Secretary and Ministerial Services Division. You will have the opportunity to create a positive impact for the people of New South Wales and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

In this integral role, you will have the chance to:

  • Foster strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity, even when information is incomplete or evolving
  • Stay flexible and responsive to shifting priorities and changing circumstances
  • Balance competing demands while managing stakeholder expectations effectively
