Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Dewatering Technician to join our team at one of our sites in Western Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the mining maintenance team to dewater the mine safely and efficiently. This will involve managing, installing, repairing, and monitoring dewatering infrastructure including pumps and site infrastructure while following policies and procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a 8 days on 6 days off, 7 nights on 7 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out mechanical repairs, servicing or modifications to equipment to maximise machine availability and increase operating efficiency.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on underground dewatering systems.
  • Identify and rectify faults in damaged pumps and other dewatering infrastructure.
  • Ensure ancillary equipment is maintained.
  • Review and improve maintenance processes as required.
  • Coordinate unplanned work and prioritise resources.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance, preferably in an underground environment.
  • A valid WA manual Driver's Licence.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs; SAP would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant statutory obligations.
  • HR license, Crane, Dogging, EWP and Forklift tickets would be advantageous.
