Clinical Education Specialist Job Description

As a Clinical Education Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs to enhance the clinical competence of staff in acute care facilities. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill this role, which involves developing education programs that meet the needs of staff working in clinical environments. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful program implementation and provide equitable access to educational support and resources.

Requirements:

  • You must currently be registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • You will also need relevant postgraduate education qualifications or relevant postgraduate clinical qualifications, along with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Comprehensive clinical knowledge and experience in an acute care facility within the Perioperative environment.
  • The ability to integrate theoretical knowledge and clinical skills to develop, implement, and evaluate education programs using innovative educational strategies, tools, and approaches.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team.
