Key Role in Data Science and Actuarial Analysis

We are seeking skilled data scientists with an actuarial background to join our team. These roles can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Canberra.

About the Position
  • Leading the development of data analysis, policy proposal briefs, and key stakeholder management initiatives.
  • Providing detailed technical, professional, and policy advice on complex problems to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implementing innovative techniques and interdisciplinary methods to solve business issues.
  • Designing statistical, mathematical, and data science models to conduct analytical work addressing business challenges.
  • Effective communication and presentation of work outcomes tailored to context and stakeholders.
About You
  • Must be an Australian citizen.
  • 1–10 years of experience in actuarial and data science fields.
  • Essential experience working in government.
  • Strong technical skills in R, Python, SQL, git, and GLMs.
  • Leadership and management experience in small teams highly regarded for APS6 and EL1 levels.
