Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roadside Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to motorists in need, ensuring their safety and satisfaction during stressful situations.

Job Description
  • Respond to roadside assistance events, providing on-the-spot mechanical repairs and assistance to RAC members.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of vehicle breakdowns and mechanical issues efficiently and accurately.
  • Utilize technical expertise to perform minor repairs and adjustments, including battery replacements, tire changes, and jump-starts.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring members' safety and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and liaise with additional resources when required, such as towing services or other specialized assistance.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of services provided, adhering to RAC's procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Experience as an automotive mechanic, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle makes and models.
  • Relevant trade qualification in automotive mechanics or a similar field.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with members and colleagues.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
