The successful candidate will work closely with our site teams to ensure day-to-day safety on our projects, providing support and guidance on Health, Safety, and Environmental matters. This is a key role in championing new safety initiatives, ensuring compliance, and managing incidents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to project teams in Health, Safety, and Environmental matters.
  • Ensuring compliance with Multiplex WHS&E requirements by monitoring and reporting on subcontractor WHS&E performance.
  • Developing and maintaining records and databases, and working with the project team to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Interpreting legislation and certification system requirements and implementing them into practice on the project.
  • Guiding junior members of the Multiplex team and leading by example in demonstrating the importance of safety.

To excel in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, partnering with stakeholders on site. You will work closely with subcontractors, so the ability to monitor and report on their performance is essential.

A sound knowledge of applicable legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards, and other relevant documentation is necessary. Along with a proven experience within the building/construction industry, you will be qualified with Cert IV in OH&S (or equivalent).
