The role of a Senior Behavioural Scientist involves applying behavioural science to improve everyday financial decisions. This includes supporting the organisation in delivering evidence-based experiences that enhance financial decision-making, experiences, and outcomes for millions of customers.

This position requires strong leadership skills across peers and interpersonal abilities. The successful candidate will have the ability to showcase strategic thinking, translating insights into impactful results. Technical understanding of empirical methods used in social sciences is essential, including statistics, econometrics, and randomised controlled trials.

Strong communication skills are necessary to convey scientific insights clearly and concisely to industry audiences. Proven problem-solving abilities in complex large-scale organisations are also required. Additionally, the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, influencing and showcasing how behavioural science can be leveraged with multiple toolkits, is vital.

Professionals with extensive experience in behavioural or social science disciplines, such as psychology, cognitive science, economics, or computational social science, are preferred. A degree in one of these fields or a related field is essential. Experience in Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence is highly desirable.

In this role, you will design and execute large-scale randomised controlled trials, provide guidance on advanced research methodologies, and ensure robust experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of results. You will also produce and present rigorous research outputs, communicate scientific insights and project outputs to executive leaders and the wider financial services industry, and represent the organisation at industry conferences and events.
