Ignite is seeking an experienced Cyber Security professional to act in the role of Director, Cyber Security - IT Security Adviser. This EL2 position leads a small team of cyber professionals in the day-to-day operational cyber security of the department and shared service partners across three distinct networks.

About this Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber security, preferably with experience in Australian Government networks and security standards. As a leader, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining cyber security policies, plans and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cyber security strategies to ensure the security of government networks
  • Coordinate and review cyber security artefacts used in Authority to Operate processes
  • Deliver and maintain cyber security training for staff members
  • Provide technical security advice on new hardware and software solutions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants must have:

  • A strong background in cyber security
  • Experience in Australian Government networks and security standards

Based on industry standards and Canberra's cost of living, we estimate the salary for this role to be around $180,000 per annum. This figure is subject to change based on individual circumstances and qualifications.
