Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pathology Collector to join our team at Healius. As a Pathology Collector, you will be responsible for collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of specimens for testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood and non-blood samples from patients with care and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient samples and test results.
- Ensure timely delivery of specimens to laboratories for testing.
- Prepare and package specimens for transport and testing.
- Liaise with customers, clinic staff, and couriers to ensure smooth sample collection and delivery processes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a healthcare background.
- Transferable skills gained in other positions within the healthcare industry highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy.
- Organized, with strong time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously, sometimes working independently in a solo clinic.
- Valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics.
- Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or a valid visa with permission to work.
