Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pathology Collector to join our team at Healius. As a Pathology Collector, you will be responsible for collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of specimens for testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood and non-blood samples from patients with care and attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient samples and test results.
• Ensure timely delivery of specimens to laboratories for testing.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport and testing.
• Liaise with customers, clinic staff, and couriers to ensure smooth sample collection and delivery processes.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a healthcare background.
• Transferable skills gained in other positions within the healthcare industry highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy.
• Organized, with strong time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously, sometimes working independently in a solo clinic.
• Valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics.
• Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or a valid visa with permission to work.
