
Financial Transaction Specialist

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate and timely payroll information, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Process and verify payroll data, including employee hours worked, leave balances, and benefits enrollments;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including attendance tracking, time-off requests, and performance evaluations;
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and HR team, including tax compliance and benefit administration;
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations, including deductions, garnishments, and other payroll-related obligations;
- Collaborate with the finance team to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure smooth payment processing;
- Develop and maintain processes to improve payroll efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction;
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, answering questions and resolving concerns regarding payroll and benefits;
- Stay up-to-date on changes to employment legislation, regulations, and best practices in payroll administration;
- Diploma or certificate in accounting, business administration, or related field;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll administration or a related field;
- Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO / HR / MM / OT SD) and MS Office applications, including Excel and Word;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Knowledge of Canadian employment law and regulations;
- Experience with cloud-based payroll systems;
- Certification in payroll administration, such as CPPA or CEP;
