Job Title: Sustainment Management Specialist

The role of Sustainment Management Specialist involves developing and implementing strategies to ensure the effective sustainment and acquisition of materiel logistics. This requires a high level of autonomy, accountability, and ability to work with stakeholders to deliver outcomes that support Defence capability.

This specialist will develop skills and knowledge in complex capability sustainment management, providing technical and policy advice to key stakeholders. Key responsibilities include the development and updating of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation and instructions to support sustainment and acquisition aspects of materiel logistics.

The ideal candidate will think strategically, developing plans and processes to enhance the achievement of business outcomes. They will also be responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with policy, processes and procedures that support the acquisition and sustainment of equipment in accordance with Defence requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and update ILS documentation and instructions to support sustainment and acquisition aspects of materiel logistics.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with policy, processes and procedures to support acquisition and sustainment of equipment in accordance with Defence requirements.
  • Think strategically and develop plans and processes to enhance achievement of business outcomes.
