Job Title: Senior Steel Structure Designer

Mills Recruitment is working with a reputable company in Australia to find a highly skilled Structural Engineer.

About the Role

This role will focus on designing steel structures for switch rooms, including developing structural designs, reviewing and verifying engineering drawings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and at least 4 years of experience in designing steel structures. Strong understanding of Australian Standards and industry best practices is required.

Responsibilities
  • Develop structural designs for switch room steel structures, including sketches and engineering calculations.
  • Review and verify engineering drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Recommend improvements to structural engineering processes and construction strategies.
  • Interpret and apply relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 1170 and AS 4100.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production engineers, to ensure project success.
  • Prepare and review fabrication drawings, ensuring alignment with design intent.
  • Address client feedback and amend designs as needed.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on experience.
