The Mental Health Clinician will be responsible for promoting evidence-based practice and supporting team members in the clinical decision-making process regarding young people’s care.
This position contributes to the development of early intervention youth mental health services, participating in regular case review meetings to support appropriate care for all clients entering the service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychological interventions and assessments to young people with low-moderate mental health concerns.
- Promote evidence-based practice and support clinical decision-making for care provided to young people.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Lead and Centre Manager to determine clinical pathways.
- Contribute to the development of early intervention youth mental health services and participate in regular case review meetings.
- Registered Psychologist; Social Worker; Mental Health Nurse; or Mental Health Occupational Therapist.
- Qualifications in professional counselling, social work, or psychology.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a qualified mental health professional.
- Experience in National Standards for Mental Health Services and supporting new graduate practitioners towards independent mental health practice.
- Knowledge of Family Systems Theory, Trauma-Informed Care, and systemically informed care delivery.
- C-class Australian Driver’s Licence; right to live and work in Australia; and experience providing direct supervision.
