**About the Role**
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Transurban. As a key member of our tunnel network team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vast tunnel network.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Work with live issues in a live, working asset to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Be a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and support to colleagues on geotechnical and civil-related matters
- Take ownership of the largest network of roads tunnels in Australia, developing and implementing strategies to maintain and improve tunnel performance
- Carry out risk mitigation of existing tunnels, ensuring the safety of our assets and the communities we serve
**Requirements**
- A maintenance background in a role that has required you to make important decisions, with a strong understanding of tunnel operations and maintenance
- Linings experience, with the ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies across all Transurban NSW assets
- Experience in the development and implementation of upgrades, with a focus on improving tunnel performance and safety
- A good balance of experience in construction and design, with a strong understanding of tunnel geotechnics
- A desire to work in a client-facing role, where you can see the impact of your work on our customers and the community
