About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Safety and Compliance Manager to lead our quality assurance team at Bindaree Food Group's Burleigh Heads facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance and Quality Expertise: Develop and implement advanced HACCP protocols, food defense programs (VACCP & TACCP), and industry-specific food safety standards, ensuring compliance in retail-ready production.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest food safety standards and regulations, ensuring our facility meets and exceeds retail industry expectations.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Manage and motivate a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment where product shelf life is short. Foster a culture that emphasizes continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Process Optimization: Design and implement procedures that support the demands of fast-moving, short-shelf-life products, ensuring product safety and quality at every stage.

What You'll Need

  • A strong background in food safety and quality assurance.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
