Bindaree Food Group (BFG) is a vertically integrated supply chain business delivering global meat solutions both domestically and internationally and has solidified its position as a prominent leader in the Australian meat industry. Our Burleigh Heads retail ready facility services major retail customers with a range of meat products. The site operates seven production lines and employs approximately 200 team members who work across warehousing, production, quality assurance, maintenance and other corporate enabling teams.

Reporting to the QA Manager as our **Food Safety and Technical Coordinator **you will have a passion for food safety and quality assurance alongside a strong understanding of the meat industry and a keen eye for detail ensuring that our high standards are consistently met within our value-add meat processing operations.

This position will be based at our Burleigh Heads retail-ready facility and will play a vital support role to the site QA team.

- **Manage and Oversee HACCP Programs** - Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our HACCP plans, ensuring rigorous compliance with food safety standards and legal requirements.
- **Drive Internal Auditing Excellence** - Lead comprehensive internal audits across the facility, identifying risks, ensuring corrective actions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- **Labelling and Allergen Control** - Manage the technical accuracy of product labels, ensure compliance with national and international standards, and oversee allergen control processes to minimize cross-contamination risks.
- **Risk Assessment & Preventative Measures** - Conduct detailed risk assessments and implement preventative controls to protect product integrity, with a keen focus on traceability and incident management.
- **Quality & Safety Compliance** - Ensure full compliance with all regulatory bodies and customer-specific requirements, including keeping up-to-date with legislation changes affecting food safety.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration** - Work closely with production, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure food safety and quality are embedded at every stage of the process.
- **Training & Team Development** - Be a champion of food safety culture, providing training and mentorship to staff, reinforcing the importance of food safety and quality practices at every level.

**What you bring to the table**:

- **HACCP Expert**: Extensive experience managing HACCP systems, with a strong understanding of critical control points within a food production setting.
- **Internal Auditing Proficiency**: Proven ability to conduct and lead internal audits, driving adherence to food safety protocols and identifying areas for improvement.
- **Meat Industry Knowledge (Advantageous)**: Direct experience in the meat processing sector will set you apart, particularly with value-added or FMCG products.
- **Technical Mastery**: Solid knowledge of food labeling regulations, allergen management, and technical compliance within the FMCG industry.
- **Meticulous Attention to Detail**: You pride yourself on spotting every detail, from documentation to food safety checks, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
- **Communication & People Skills**: Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels - from the production floor to senior management.
