About the Role

Scottfresh Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead and coordinate the in-field harvest team for our Vegetable Production Unit.

This is a key role that requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of crop forecasting, harvest planning, and team management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the in-field harvest team to ensure efficient and effective crop harvesting operations.
  • Develop and implement crop forecasting and harvest planning strategies to maximize crop yields and minimize waste.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the harvest team, including training and development programs.
  • Work closely with the Crop Manager and Dispatch Coordinator to ensure seamless communication and coordination between teams.
  • Ensure that all harvest team members adhere to Health and Safety principles and protocols.
  • Monitor and report on team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as agriculture, horticulture, or business.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a vegetable growing operation, with a focus on harvest management.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving results.
  • Full and current driver's license, with a clean driving record.
