UGL Defence has secured a significant contract to oversee the management of Defence fuel-related Asset Management, Operations, and Maintenance. We are seeking skilled E&I Technicians to become integral members of our Operations & Maintenance team, presenting a remarkable opportunity to contribute to the Australian Defence landscape and uphold the national security interests of the country.
Position Overview
As an E&I Technician, you will report directly to a Maintenance Supervisor and be stationed at a key operational site, providing support to various locations within the region. Your role will involve being part of a dedicated team of UGL technicians, engaging in a variety of tasks including:
- Conducting routine maintenance and servicing of fuel installation assets and associated equipment.
- Performing diagnostics and repairs in a breakdown context for fuel-related assets and equipment.
- Participating in project work as needed for fuel installations and related systems.
- Assisting with subcontracted work packages as required.
- Providing support across multiple sites within the region, with occasional travel to other locations.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results. Essential qualifications include:
- Certificate IV in Instrumentation and an A-grade electrical license, along with relevant post-trade experience.
- Demonstrated experience in fixed plant maintenance, preferably within the fuel services or Oil & Gas sectors.
- Training in Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) is mandatory.
- Certifications for confined space entry and working at heights are highly advantageous.
- A strong focus on safety in all aspects of work.
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, the necessary Defence Security Clearance.
