About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Biosecurity Team Lead to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will have a strong background in biosecurity, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to oversee operational delivery and staff development.

The role is initially offered as a 6-month contract with prospects of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster staff growth, manage performance, and ensure compliance with processes and procedures
  • Evaluate, review, and report on change, innovation, and implementation of agreed initiatives
  • Acquire and provide general operational knowledge and advice that contributes to business outcomes
  • Perform research and data analysis including interpreting data and reports
  • Effectively communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders

Requisite Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support staff in an operational environment
  • Knowledge or understanding of national biosecurity operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to gather and analyse information, problem solve issues, and apply evidence-based decision making

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, dependent on experience
