We are seeking a Casual Social Worker to join our team at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and dedicated Social Work team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete psychosocial assessments and provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families and/or carers in the acute hospital wards.
  • Work autonomously in hospital environments with proven ability to deliver excellent consumer focussed clinical care.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff and students.

About You:

  • Qualified Social Worker (either current member or current eligibility for AASW) with work experience as a hospital Social Worker.
  • Adaptable quick learner with proven ability to work in hospital environments.
  • Deliver excellent consumer focussed clinical care to patients and their carers.
