Lead Technology

About this role As the lead for technology, you will be responsible for the technology function of a group, both locally and internationally.

This position is highly visible in the business and will work closely with senior leaders and interact with the board on technology-related topics.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the technology business partner and primary contact for all IT queries both internally and externally.
  2. Lead, develop, and mentor an IT team.
  3. Own the technology strategy roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
  4. Ensure that the IT environment is optimized and scalable in line with the needs of the group.
  5. Provide technical leadership on IT infrastructure, networks, and applications.
  6. Ensure sound governance and compliance on security-related topics.
  7. Oversee the delivery of IT projects to ensure they are on time and within budget.
  8. Lead innovation initiatives such as AI & machine learning.

Requirements:
  • You must hold an IT-related degree, with MBA-qualified applicants being held in high regard.
  • You have worked your way into leadership positions yet have maintained the ability to be 'hands-on' as required.
  • You have led teams that have supported a user community of at least 200 seats, ideally across regions, countries, or wider groups with a multinational footprint.
  • You bring experience working with executive teams and liaising with senior leaders as the technology representative.
  • Interpersonally, you are an engaging and concise communicator and bring energy and enthusiasm to get things done.
