Business Development Account Manager APAC

Studyportals is innovating the way universities around the world recruit international students through its platform of websites, providing comprehensive content and search tools for students.

Every month, our websites receive over four million visits from students worldwide, searching for the right education. This makes us the most popular study choice platform globally.

The search behavior on the platform generates the largest global dataset of course demand and supply data, enabling clients to make informed strategic decisions about marketing effectiveness, course development, and alignment of channel partners.

As part of our mission to further develop our market-leading position globally, you will be part of an expansion phase of the team to promote our digital marketing and analytical services, allowing clients to use data to inform their international plans.

This role is based in Melbourne, but alternative locations in Australia may be considered, as you will be required to service clients across the region.

Job Role:
  • Acquiring sizeable education providers as clients for analytical services within the APAC Business Unit.
  • Consulting with existing clients to optimize insights from campaign data and Analytics data, ensuring client satisfaction and engagement with their recruitment activities.
  • Upselling/cross-selling existing clients with value-added marketing and analytical services.
  • Planning and attending client meetings across the region.
  • Supporting the Business Unit Director on strategy and approach for growth targets within the region.
  • Collaborating with ACT staff in the Netherlands, client support teams in Mexico, head office teams, and other business units.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience working as a consultant in a sales environment in APAC (within Higher Education or Digital Marketing is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with the journey of international students studying abroad or willingness to learn more about the industry.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport with clients.
  • Confidence in making calls with new prospects and customers.
  • Ambitious, assertive, energetic, and persistent, with a drive for results.
  • Comfortable in an environment of frequent and direct feedback.
  • Pleasure in traveling for client visits and conferences.
  • A good team player who enjoys contributing to the personal development of colleagues.
