Technical Accounting Specialist, Enterprise Sales

Join our team of experts as a Technical Accounting Specialist to help drive the success of our Enterprise Sales division. In this role, you will provide technical accounting expertise to continuously enhance sales objectives and optimize revenue recognition.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to leverage their experience in ASC 606 and finance process management to ensure accurate and timely contract review. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing continuous process improvements over the order-to-cash process, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the review and approval of on-premise and cloud growth agreements, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 standards
  • Provide guidance and support to Sales, Legal, and Order Management teams on deal structure and contractual terms for revenue optimization
  • Review and assess non-standard technical accounting terms and computation of accounting adjustments needed for executed agreements in APAC region
  • Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors regarding revenue accounting matters
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of revenue experience with 3+ years in technical accounting role; ideally with Public Company experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and primarily revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)
  • Proficient in using large-scale ERP systems (Oracle Fusion a plus) and Revpro
  • Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about issues, leading to recommendations and action plans
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
