  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Source, write, and publish original stories for the website.
  • Utilize social media for both story discovery and promotion.
  • Apply editorial judgment and use analytical tools to maximize story visibility.
  • Write and edit content, including headlines, captions, and embedded media.
  • Support the editorial lead in guiding the daily content direction.
  • Maintain awareness of legal and ethical issues in reporting.
  • Represent the company professionally and courteously in all interactions.
  • Continuously upskill and stay updated with technology and digital trends.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Conduct professional and thorough interviews.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A journalism degree and experience working within the media industry.
  • A strong work ethic and a healthy level of initiative
  • A high level of literacy and attention to detail
  • Good interview and communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously under high pressure.
  • Flexibility in a 24/7 newsroom - including weekend shifts - and the ability to work later in the day.
