Job Summary:
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the multiple EL 1 – Assistant Director positions in a dynamic organization. The successful candidates will exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and work productively and collegiately in a multidisciplinary environment.

About the Role:
The Threats and Workforce Protection (TWP) Branch supports the delivery of a safe and secure nuclear-powered submarine capability by understanding and communicating threats, uplifting security culture and awareness, and mitigating personnel security risks through effective early detection, security incident management and response, and organisational suitability assessment processes.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will lead small teams to cultivate productive relationships with government and non-government stakeholders across the NPS Enterprise. They will use their strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and experience to conduct in-person protective security briefings and engagement. They will have the ability to interpret and confidently brief stakeholders about NPS Program related legislation, policies, procedures, objectives and threat reporting. They will identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholder requirements to promote and support the strategic objectives of the ASA.

Requirements:
A high standard of professionalism, integrity, discretion and sound judgement is required. Curiosity and lateral thinking skills for very complex problem-solving are essential. Ability to lead and manage a team, set work priorities, manage workflows and mentor less experienced team members is also required. Strong interpersonal, written and communications skills, organisational skills & significant attention to detail to provide comprehensive advice and responses are necessary. Adaptability, resilience and flexibility in the face of changing and competing priorities is also required.
