Heavy Industrial Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team in Central Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex electrical systems and contribute to the safe and reliable operation of our industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities, minimizing downtime and costs.
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and service fixed plant instrumentation and electrical assets, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Test and maintain high-voltage power generation systems, guaranteeing safe and reliable operation.
  • Work at heights, adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Work independently, being reliable and positively contributing to the maintenance team, ensuring assets are maintained in a safe and reliable condition.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing business needs, prioritizing continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives, potentially working with multiple disciplines within the organization.
  • Promote and identify health and safety opportunities to enhance equipment, processes, and behaviors.
Requirements
  • A commitment to safety and well-being of yourself and your colleagues.
  • Respect for others and an inclusive mindset.
  • A valid C Class driver's license.
  • An Australian A-grade Electrical license.
  • Proven experience in fault finding and repairs on various electrical equipment.
  • Proven maintenance experience working in heavy/industrial industry.
  • High-voltage switching or instrumentation experience is desirable.

This role is located in Central Queensland, approximately 10km north-west of Gladstone. Our industrial operations focus on the production of smelter-grade alumina.
