About the Role

The Cumberland City Council is seeking a skilled Park Maintenance Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the Open Spaces team, you will be responsible for the daily presentation and maintenance of Council's open spaces, sportsgrounds, playgrounds, passive and public spaces, golf courses, botanical gardens, and native vegetation areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate small plant and equipment at Council's parks and reserves, gardens, sportsgrounds, playgrounds, and Council buildings and facilities.
  • Assist in ensuring customer and community satisfaction with Council's Open Space operations.
  • Work as part of a team with good interpersonal skills.
  • Hold a current 'ChemCert' (Chemical Handling) qualification or be willing to obtain.
  • Possess a current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Hold a current General Induction for Construction Work in NSW (white card).
