Recreation Therapist

The Bolton Clarke Sunset Ridge Residential Aged Care Facility is a 30-bed interim care unit dedicated to providing high-quality care for patients who require maintenance support. Our facility operates 24/7, with a secure and non-secure wing to cater to the diverse needs of our patients.

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Officer to design, implement, and evaluate recreational, diversional, and social activities that promote the physical and mental well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will have the ability to assess individual patient needs and adapt activities accordingly.

• Design and implement a variety of recreational activities to improve or maintain patient physical and mental function
• Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make recommendations for improvement
• Work effectively as a member of the team to promote and adapt to change
• Demonstrate knowledge of continuous improvement strategies and participate in ongoing improvement initiatives
