Job Description

This role will involve the provision of strategic and professional technical leadership for processes under the Act that facilitate the independent determination of statutory land valuations throughout Queensland.

The Valuer-General is responsible for the oversight and governance of the delegations of these functions, as well as providing strategic policy advice and recommendations to Government and a range of stakeholders on matters related to land valuations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in leading change initiatives and desire for ongoing improvement.
  • Significant experience and broad knowledge of the property industry.
  • Dynamic and proactive leader with the ability to engage others to deliver outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with clear business and commercial acumen.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in negotiation, networking, consultation, facilitation, influence and communication (both written and oral).
