Job Title: Household Leadership Position

About the Role:

Our organization is seeking an experienced leader to oversee a team of dedicated youth support workers in a therapeutic residential setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children and young people to develop independent living skills, engage in education, and remain positively connected to their team of care workers, families, and broader community connections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of dedicated youth support workers.
  • Support children and young people to develop independent living skills, engage in education, and remain positively connected to their team of care workers, families, and broader community connections.
  • Work in partnership with a therapeutic specialist and case manager to implement the CARE model and ensure a safe, homelike environment for the children and young people in our care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma of community services, youth work or related field (a qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience).
  • Previous leadership experience in services that support children and young people, such as out-of-home care, intensive therapy centers, and disability settings.
  • Ability to provide supervision and support to a team of therapeutic care workers to embed the delivery of therapeutic models of support to children and young people.
  • Current first aid and CPR certificates.
  • Current driver's license.
