Job Title: Production Stage Manager

Job Summary:

Northern Rivers theatre company is seeking an experienced stage manager to oversee the production and touring of a new show.

About the Role:

This 8-week contract will cover all phases of production, from pre-production and rehearsals through to touring and final performances at small venues.

  • Coordinate and lead the production team ensuring every performance is delivered at the highest professional standard.
  • Work closely with the creative team as a key point of communication for all production elements.
Requirements:

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience as a Production Stage Manager, ideally with touring productions.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills under pressure.
  • Ability to work within a small team.
  • Technical knowledge of lighting, sound, staging, and OH&S practices.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving ability.
  • Adaptability to diverse venues and changing conditions.
Availability:

The ideal candidate must be available full-time from January to March and reasonably available for some hours of pre-rehearsal work in September.
