About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join our catering department at Eliza Purton in Ulverstone, Tasmania. As a chef/cook in our facility, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Chef Manager to prepare, cook, and serve nourishing, palatable, and attractive in-house meals for residents. You will have a strong understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably in an aged care facility or similar environment
  • A relevant qualification
  • A current national police certificate (or ability to acquire) to enable the individual to work in the aged care industry
